Call for Unit 5 Bargaining Support Committee Chair – URGENT!

Applications are now open for the Unit 5 Bargaining Support Committee Chair. Please submit a resume and a statement of interest to organizer@cupe3902.org by Tuesday, 28 February. Preference will be given to members currently or previously working in Unit 5.

The Bargaining Support Committee Chair organizes the Bargaining Support Committee (created to mobilize the unit for bargaining) and works closely with the U5 Bargaining Team and the 3902 staff and Executive Committee. The Bargaining Support Committee is responsible for organizing among the membership, the University, and the community in support of the Local’s aims in bargaining. In the event of a strike, the Bargaining Support Committee becomes the Strike Committee.

The Bargaining Support Committee Chair shall receive an honorarium equivalent to 35 hours per month at the TA rate (currently $44.95 including 4% vacation pay).
