Massey Centre for Women workers claim victory
After 90 days on strike, workers at the Massey Centre for Women unanimously approved a new contract one week ago, and are returning to work.

New advancement rules in Music
This summer the Union negotiated new provisions for Unit 3 members in Music allowing members to count studio music instruction in order to establish eligibility for advancement.
Ontario calls on universities to agree to two-year wage freeze
The government is urging all public-sector employers and labour leaders in the province to accept two year freezes. It plans to target universities first because many of them have collective agreements that are set to expire.

Open Letter Calling for Immediate Release of G20 Political Prisoners
The Executive Officers of CUPE 3902, representing education workers at the University of Toronto, have issued the following letter calling local, provincial, and national leaders to investigate policing, detention, and the denial of basic rights during the G20 Summit. We also call on these leaders to immediately release all political prisoners.

Student/labour unions and campus organizations condemn police violence and raids, and demand that all arrested activists be released. Early Sunday morning, police raided the Graduate Students Union (GSU) building at the University of Toronto and arrested approximately 70 billeting activists.
Unit 2 reaches tentative settlement
Unit 2 (Victoria College contract academic staff) reached a tentative settlement with Victoria University administration on Friday afternoon. Members will vote on the proposed settlement next week.
