What: Hear a bargaining update from your Bargaining Team, discuss next steps, vote on whether to have a campus-wide strike vote & have your questions about bargaining answered.
What is a strike mandate? A strike mandate means the members of a Union have given their Bargaining Team the power to initiate job action if an impasse is reached in bargaining. A successful strike mandate vote is a necessary requirement for legal strike action. This Local has a practice of consulting with members at membership meetings before job action can begin. Come to this meeting and have a say in your Union’s democratic processes!
