When: Monday, January 22, 2018

Sign-in starts @5:45pm

Meeting starts @6:30pm

Where: Convocation Hall, 31 King’s College Circle

What: Meeting to discuss where negotiations are at following the first day of conciliation and to set a deadline by which to bring forward a tentative agreement without job action.

December was an important month in bargaining: we held a strike mandate vote, in which over 1,500 of you voted overwhelmingly (89.4%) in support of a strike mandate; our Bargaining Team continued to meet with the University at the table, where they negotiated important language on sexual harassment and saw the beginnings of the Employer’s financial package; and we filed for conciliation after reaching an impasse on the issues that matter most to you.

Your Team is meeting with the Employer and a Conciliation Officer for the first time on January 19. It is the practice of this Local to consult with members and set a deadline for job action separate from provincial deadlines.

If you require any accommodations to enable your full participation, please email vc1@cupe3902.org so that we can ensure that the meetings and events are fully accessible.

Please note that food and drink are not permitted inside Convocation Hall. Because of this, food and drink will not be provided at this meeting.
