We have a Tentative Agreement!
After months of bargaining back and forth with the Employer, the Bargaining Team is pleased to unanimously recommend a Tentative Agreement. Unit 4 Members will have the chance to vote to send this Tentative Agreement to ratification this Friday. Please view the agenda here.

Our bylaws require a two-step process to approve a Tentative Agreement
- Members must meet in a quorate meeting to vote yes or no on the question “Shall the Memorandum of Agreement be sent for a unit-wide ratification vote?”
- If the vote is “yes,” then members must vote in secret ballots whether to accept the tentative agreement or reject it – you can vote at the same meeting, or during the week at locations to be announced
It is imperative you attend because our bylaws require a certain number of members to be present for important decisions such as this. If we do not make quorum at this meeting, we cannot approve or reject the Tentative Agreement. Finding a time that works for those who responded to our scheduling poll has been difficult. We’ve selected a time that suits most of those who responded, but need as many others to show up as possible to bring bargaining to a close.
Please plan to attend. Contact us if you have any special needs or accommodations. Children are welcome, and food will be provided. Funds are available for those who need childcare covered.
At the meeting:
- The Bargaining Team will present and answer questions about the Tentative Agreement
- We will vote on whether to send the Tentative Agreement to ratification.
- If the vote is yes, we will immediately open secret ballot voting on whether to ratify the Tentative Agreement (two birds, one stone!)
- If the vote is no…well, we will have some planning to do as a group
