A picture of the trans flag with a solidarity fist consisting of the trans symbol

On November 20th, we observe the Transgender Day of Remembrance. We reflect on so many lives lost due to hate, to misunderstanding, to intolerance; we reflect on the privilege so many of us have; we reflect on our own actions and words. We remember Stonewall and the leadership of the trans community and we commit to show the same passion, the same relentless drive to ensure each and every trans-identified person lives in communities full of love and acceptance.

To the haters, the naysayers, and the right wing, we see you, we will expose you, and we will not let your hate win. Trans rights are not some “Liberal ideology” to be stripped from curriculums; they are human rights. And human rights are not up for debate.

(TW: cause of death listed) Remember the lives lost to anti-transgender hate in 2018. Remember their names, remember the loving human beings they were.
